Guest guest
Hi Trisha, Funny you should mention APA papers because I have to come up with a research proposal for Monday for a psych class, so this weekend will be spent finding tons of research!!!! I prefer working hands on with people rather than doing all research which is why I want to go into school psych. I've found a graduate program close to my home in Philadelphia that seems to be perfect for me. Right now I go to school out of state, but I can't wait to move back home. I'm also having all of my treatment done back home. I got my bottom braces on in March and so far everything has been fine with them. Although what is bad, is that I'm not going back for my first brace tightening (or whatever its called!) until 9 weeks later and I'm supposed to go in 6 weeks. Its hard to make the commute to the ortho when I have so much going on. When you got the expander put in your mouth by the ortho several days before the actual surgery, did it feel strange? Speech pathology is a great job to go into as well. At my school there is a Speech & Hearing science major, and I know a lot of people who are planning to go into that field after they graduate. Children definently can tire you out though, so I understand why you chose to work with older people. I'm curious though, what types of speech exercises do you do with Alzehiemers patients? Isn't it hard for them to remember what your teaching them? Kate
