Panniculectomy is the technical term for a " tummy tuck " . But in our WLS world, those of us who get pre=wls pannis have the hanging skin and fat of our abdomens removed== in my case, 20 pounds. Dr. A also repaired a little umbilical hernia that I did not know I had. The full on plastic surgeon's panni is probably more extensive and wouldn't leave one with a rounded front with no waist dent so that one's jeans roll into one's open incision down in the bikini line, if one is so foolish as to wear jeans. Can't wait til I have a waist back. Picking waistbands out of my wound dressing is worse than underwear wedged in the behind.
