Guest guest
Hi, I just found this group so I am new but had my surgery in June 2002 but I need help. I hope all of you don't mind me jumping in with problem. I have IBS (with constipation)and I was warned prior to surgery that my symptoms would become worse and they sure did. I am constantly trying to alter my eating habits to accommodate the problem and I saw a gastroenterologist last week who put me on Zelnorm (it was my 2nd try with the med, my primary tried it a few months ago) and of course my stomach is in an uproar from the zelnorm. I was in so much pain yesterday I stopped taking it. My stomach is still messed up. It doesn't effect my pouch, all my pain is below my bellybutton. I try all different things - fiber, drinking my water, but nothing seems to help. If it weren't for senekot I don't know what I would do. I went to the gastro dr because after 2 years I didn't think I could spend the rest of my life taking senekot. I really wish I didn't have to eat at all. So, if anybody has a similar problem and could provide some advice I would be most grateful. After 2 years I feel nervous and scared. This bloated fat feeling makes me feel uncomfortable all the time and not in control of my wls life. I don't know what to eat anymore and what not to eat. Thanks, Mad
