How many times before surgery...

I'd like to know for those of you who've had surgery how many times

you met with your orthognathic surgeon before the surgery. My

orthognathic surgeon told me that he'd only have to see me one time

the week before surgery. This doesn't sound right to me considering

how important this 3-4 hour upper jaw surgery is to me. Is this

really all it takes for the doctor to know what he's going to do?
