Guest guest
Today my oral surgeon mentioned that there could be a chance of having two small incisions on the outside along the lower jaw bone from where he needs to cut in order to put the screws in. I have seen another oral surgeon who said nothing about this and from what I have read on this site and many others, normally incisions are made on the inside of the mouth. Has anyone had incisions on the outside? He said the scars should be small and out of the way, but it really worries me of what the final result will be since there are no guarantees with how well the incision will heal and how big the scar will be. Is this a normal part of the procedure? Thanks!
