Waaayyy off topic post, but you're my buds... Scotland

A dear friend is headed for a week or so in Scotland, in March.

She'll start off in Edinburgh for a night or two, and then go by car

into the highlands. I believe she has a night (or maybe more) booked

in an inn in Inverness... But does anyone know of wonderful places

to go, things to do, marvelous places to eat or stay in the general

areas of the Highlands?

She's much invested emotionaly in the arts -- architecture,

painting, etc., but also loves gardening; is a splendid scientist

and a marvelous, bold traveler. She is a woman of independent means,

which does not mean that she likes to waste $$$.

Any notions would be helpful!
