Guest guest
Well I was denied by my insurance for the surgery today. We started out with UnitedHealthCare and the company switched to BCBS. I was denied because there is a 12 month waiting period for pre existing conditions. The clause can be waived with a Certificate of Coverage from UHC. I sent that in after I was denied coverage for the surgery. Do you think they can still deny me and make me wait the year now? Or do they have to waive the clause since I have sent in the Certificate of Coverage? I hope I don't have to appeal because I can only do it once. I want to call and find out if they will approve me for the surgery now or do I have to appeal first. I am scared I am going to screw this up. If anybody out there has any ideas or any information or experience please email me and let me know. Thanks, Michele Still looking forward to a new life.
