Guest guest
Also, a good rule of thumb (but not absolute) is that if you can tolerate cheese, you will most likely be able to tolerate the 24 hour yogurt. My husband couldn't because he was actually sensitive to the milk protein. He can have small amounts infrequently now, but still won't eat the yogurt.AmeliaHusband UC 9 years, SCD 19 monthsLDN 3 mgTo: BTVC-SCD Sent: Fri, February 12, 2010 3:12:40 AMSubject: Re: Re:SCD for IBS? > You are in the right place.>> If milk gives you gas...If milk gives you gas it doesn't mean you shouldn't, or can't, or won't be able to ever use milk products, .i.e., SCD yogurt. (Nor does it necessarily mean you couldn't tolerate raw milk if you tried it.) It probably means that you're lactose intolerant, as many if not most of us are. But the SCD yogurt has the lactose eaten out of it by the acidophilis/et al. If you're reacting to the milk protein (casein) that's another story. But I wouldn't shy away from trying the 24-hour yogurt because ordinary milk gives you gas. The yogurt is just too beneficial -- and tastes too good! -- to avoid unless you absolutely must.nand eggs make you run to the bathroom, then it > will not be hard to do without them.>> You will find so many tasty and wonderful foods that will help you to > heal and feel better.
