Guest guest
Dealing with candida/yeast is all part of having digestive disorders. Being on SCD 100% is a huge step towards dealing with a candida overgrowth as it deals with restoring our gut ecology and relieves our overburdened immune system. So you’ve made a good start. SCD foods eliminate one of the major sources of food for yeast, starches. Depending on your candida-related symptoms, you might also wish to limit the amounts of other “trigger” foods, perhaps even avoid some of the worst triggers for you for a year or two. Some people find they tolerate antifungals, both natural and prescription, so use them along with being careful with their foods. Remember that a bit part of eliminating candida is getting your digestion to work better. Less fermentation means less food for candida and other microorganisms which means the overgrowth can be reduced and your gut ecology will be balanced again. Someone else pointed you to some information we have in our group Files. You can also read plenty of books on dealing with candida – just remember to adjust any recommendations to our SCD policies of what is permitted and what is not. Kim M. SCD 6 years I started the SCD diet 2 days after Christmas when a friend gave me a copy of BTVC. I had been sick with a severe IBS flare up since the beginning of November. I was losing weight rapidly. I had been sick with IBS for the last 23 years. The diet gave me hope and Ive been feeling alot better but still not 100% and I knew something else was wrong. Last week at the Drs I requested a blood test for Candida and hde just called me and said I tested positive and the antibody was a rate of 105 when it should be between 0-29. He said for it to be so high I must have had it for a very long time. Does anyone have any info on this?? What can do to kill this off? he said we didnt need to do a blood test for a few more months and to stay on the SCD diet. Thanks, SCD 1 1/2 months IBS-D

Guest guest
Do you know where I can get ooo? I got mine at Whole Foods. If you don't have one of those near you, you could try another health food store similar to Whole Foods.
