Guest guest
This is good advice, . I do think he will understand. I don't know why I struggle so much with this. Thanks so much! Carol Re: Going back to our local doctor Carol, Quite simply, you tell your doctor that you had the awesome opportunity to take to go see Dr. Ponseti, and you jumped at the chance because as a mother, you felt that you had to for peace of mind. The doctor shouldn't be offended at all. If the doctor is offended, then it's time to get another doctor. Doctors want the best for their kids (if they have any) also; so they should understand why a parent wouldn't turn down the opportunity to see Dr. P. After all, I'm pretty confident that he probably has the most personal clubfoot experience of any doctor in the world...plus the experience of his partners at the U of I added to that....you really can't find another location in the world with more expertise and focus on the clubfoot condition. Don't feel like you did anything wrong. Get it in your mind that you are excited to share this news with your doctor about the opportunity given to ..... It worked for me when I went back to my old doctor, I hope it helps you too. & (3-16-00, lcf)
