Guest guest
Hi Dora, You are so right I was invisable when I was fatter and it was sort of comfortable. You know what I absolutely hated? when people used to say to me but your so pretty like because I'm fat that like it was a crime. Now my body is starting to catch up with my features. It will take some serious time to adjust. You guys are the best thanks for responding to my post. Dawn > Dawn, > > What you are going through makes perfect sense. I was talking with my sister-in-law (who recently has lost a lot of weight) and some friends about this same issue recently. The thing is that when you are fat, your fat becomes your safety. You know you are safe because no one looks at you or talks to you. You can be a flirt and no one takes you serious, or you can just fade into the background. But without that layer of fat protecting you it is scary. Because the opposite sex do look at you now and they like what they see. She has assured me that it gets better with time. Give yourself time to get adjusted to the new you. You look good and now you need to get your mindset to where you feel like you look good. Hang in there. It will work itself out. Enjoy your new body and live!! > > Dora > Awaiting approval in TN > > Long time no write! > > > Hello gang, > > It's been a while just living life. I have to say I am so happy since > surgery. Guest guest
Dora, The exact same thing happened to me. Like I wasn't worthy of love the way I was. It wasn't until I found someone that loved me just as I am, that I was able to start the research to lose the weight and move on. 2-10-04 404pre-op/367surg/296/160? -- Long time no > write! > > > > > > Hello gang, > > > > It's been a while just living life. Guest guest
As alone as we may think we are in our misery, there are others just like us. Although I would never want that hurt to be placed on anyone else, it is comforting to know that I am not alone. Guest guest
Heck yeah she's going to go through with it. Since I put my foot down with my family about my weight my mom has started to see the fault in her ways but every now and then she has a brain fart, I guess you can't teach an old dog a new trick --- Sagel Burns wrote: > Sounds like a good deal to me, may make up for it > . > > > Lap RNY April 9, 2004 > 348/295/140 (begin/current/goal) > www.carrieburns.net > > > > > > OH my god!!My mother did the same thing except I > had > > her write it down and when I told her about the > > surgery I brought it up and she's sticking to it. > She > > also said she's going to pay for any nipping and > > tucking I might need after I loose all my weight. > > > > --- Sagel Burns wrote: > >> Most certainly not alone .
