Guest guest
A science experiment in elementary school, proved a nail in coke, rusted in a very short period of time.>>> Best way to find out is for everybody to open a can of coke and put a nail in there and leave it for a week and see what happens....... end of doubts! Guest guest
Lol Yes, but just whizzing over the nail on its way to wherever didn't rust it, I say in defense of my beloved Coca-Cola! Guest guest
Acid doesn't cause rust...oxygen does. Soda doesn't have a pH of 2. Your mouth would burn at that pH. According to a chemist I know who worked for RC Cola, the standard pH of Coke (Regular) is 4.0 **************** And may that be the final word on the debate. Some technical information was incorrect, but the spirit of the post was certainly to impress upon us that soft drinks have a variety of negatives and would hinder the body's ability to fill it's high demand for water. Guest guest
I love to pull stuff apart so here goes. Thank god for the internet where we can find the truth! *************************************************** Ahhh yes, for those of us nit-picking, detailed- oriented, fact-finders, (like myself on some days), the backed up research is always a welcome post. Thank you And for those meaning to spread helpful tips or goodwill unselfishly and without the intent to harm, (like myself on other days), I also appreciate the intent of the original poster. Can we move on yet?
