Hi Steph,

I am 33 and my Ortho also suggested to have a wee drink after

tighening up my brace, well he put it, 'this is really going to kick

in in a couple of hours, you may want to have a glass of wine! i

have to say good old wine has been a godsend, I don't really like

popping pills and found that wine did the job just dandy. Obviously

i wouldn't recommend mixing it with any other medication!

As you like to say, I'm a ninfant in comparison. Almost 47 when I had

the surgery.

By the way, wine tasted awful to me post-op (effects of the

anaesthesia - it does wear off eventually), even good wine tasted

like cheap plonk. I did, however, develop a taste for Irish ale, and

re-learned how to sip from a glass while sampling the same !
