I am only about 7 weeks out, but I certainly don't go 4-6 times a day. I am

lucky if I go once every other day. The first week it was 1-2 times a day, then

I started having constipation. Now it is starting to regulate and I am getting

back into my prior potty pattern. I know different people have different

experiences, but I don't think you would necessarily be spending your life in

the bathroom.

Stick with the new surgeon, sounds like the other one didn't know as much as he

thought.

Kathy -- some surgeons have prejudice against the DS even though they perform

it. They may have notions about diahhrea/bowel movements that aren't

accurate. I personally go about 1-2 times a day (in the morning upon

waking). That's it! No diahhrea (except for the first few weeks - and then

it was liquid but totally controllable. I also had an additional bm in the

early am which went away about three weeks out). I rarely have to go in the

day or evening (this is based usually on something I ate or extreme stress).

I don't know if I'm 'average' or 'normal', though. Others may have to go

more. But, from what I've heard from others, it isn't totally *uncommon* to

have the morning bm (maybe 1 or two movements) and that's it for the day! :)

So, I don't know if it's totally 'normal' but it certainly isn't 'abnormal'.

:)

- let us know how it goes with Dr. Macura! :)

I do not think it was Doc's technique I think it is just my body reacting.

Both ends were married to the porcelain god until my 3rd month. I would

vomit every morning. No food just clear liquid.

I do not have diahreha I guess I just am full of _______?
