Guest guest
I am glad the doctor was good, and gave you some good info. It took Isabella about a day & a half to adjust to her new casts. It is so hard to see them be upset because they are so little and just don't understand what is going on. Hang in there, your doing a great job ! DeeDee California
Guest guest
Good to hear that your appt/casting went so well. It's so nice to know that you are in good hands - one less thing to worry about. Our daughter also has unilateral (right) and her foot was also quite flexible. Dr. Pirani was able to bring her to full correction without a tenotomy in 4 casts. Hopefully Marcus' treatment will be similar! It took her a couple of days to adjust to the cast and after that she loved to be able to raise it up in the air, it was pretty cute watching her so intent on getting it up there lol. I also found her to be pretty gassy, I think this was the main reason she was so fussy for a while. I am still not sure if the cast contributed to this because she couldn't bunch both her legs up to help 'get things moving' or if she was just a really gassy baby (she may have gotten this from her dad LOL). I found tummy rubs and Oval & Gripe water helped sort things out, especially the Oval, great stuff. I am sure Marcus will be feelin better soon, it's amazing how fast they adjust to things!! & Grace 16mos unilateral right cf FAB 13 hrs > > Well, Marcus had his first casting appointment yesterday. Guest guest
Marcus is still trying to adjust to the cast. He has been crying pretty much all morning. I broke down and gave him a pacifier to help soothe him. I can tell when he gets upset cause he just starts sucking on it harder until he can't stand the discomfort and then he starts crying like there's no tomorrow. > > I am glad the doctor was good, and gave you some good info.
