We have went down some long difficult roads together

and hopefully brighter days are just ahead.

From your lips ......

Thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I hope that this

will all be but a distant memory to you real soon.

All the best,

After a short trip I have returned home to learn that my surgery date is

Monday, July 28, 2003 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. For those who

have asked, the address of the hospital is:

Memorial Hermann Hospital

6411 Fannin St.

Houston, Texas 77030

The surgery will begin at 8:00 AM and if all goes well should last until

around 4:00 PM. They will remove all the mesh, adjust my gastric bypass and

then hopefully get me closed. If they do this will be the first time in

three years I have not had a hole in my abdomen.

The only fly in the ointment is that they may have to move the surgery

forward. For some reason my hernia has chosen the past few days to expand

rapidly. It has tripled in size over the past five days. So the surgeons

want to see me next Tuesday unless the pain gets a lot worse, in which case

they want to see me sooner. I will post to the group if the date is moved

forward.

I want to thank everyone here for their friendship and moral support over

this past couple of years. We have went down some long difficult roads

together and hopefully brighter days are just ahead.
