Guest guest
I don't know about the vinegar but when I am having a craving for salty stuff, pickles and soy sauce are usually somewhere on my list. Maybe she isn't getting enough sodium? Maybe she's getting to much? Maybe it's a sign of dehydration and she needs to drink more? This is pure speculation on my part but might be worth checking into. Guest guest
I don't know about the vinegar, either, but the salt cravings...other than dehydration, isn't it possibly indicative of a potassium shortage? I can't remember exactly. BTW, NEVER take potassium supplements except under the care of a physician...they could cause heart problems if not properly monitored. in NJ ***************************** > I don't know about the vinegar but when I am having a craving for salty stuff, pickles and soy sauce are usually somewhere on my list. Has anyone experienced everything tasting salty? Some days, no matter what I eat, it taste like someone dumped salt on it. Just curious why. As for craving vinegar, I have no idea myself. Guest guest
Just my experience...I have fought leg cramps since one yr out. I found that getting in some type of vinegar liquid or food keeps the leg cramps limited. Not sure if this will answer your question, but I thought that it was interesting. Also, the closer I get to my B12 shot time, the more I want pickles/vinegar and the more leg cramps I get. Anyone else have this experience? Or, as usual, am I just the wierd one, LOL! Guest guest
You have no idea how happy I was to see this post. About two weeks ago all I wanted was Kosher Dill Pickles (the garlicky kind.... extra flavor). One night I ate almost a whole jar.... I have a pickle... about 20 minutes later.. I'd have another, etc. That was ALL I wanted. On top of that I didn't feel well, since have discovered ulcers. I still have to have at least one dill pickle a day. I've never been a person who was crazy about pickles... now I'm feeling just crazy, but less so now that we've had this post. Guest guest
Leg cramps can be related to a B deficiency so what you're experiencing makes sense. I get bouts of terrible leg & foot cramps that wake me up in the middle of the night. I take sub-lingual B every day so when the cramps start, I also take quinine. Quinine is in tonic water and there are also sublingual pills that contain quinine. I prefer the pills and get them from Drugstore.com. from Washington Lap RNY Sept 2001 Minus 208.5 pounds 333.5/125 http://www.wworw.com > Just my experience...I have fought leg cramps since one yr out.
