Guest guest
This is a link to a new kind of probiotic. The salesman explained to methat the good bacteria lives in our gut much longer as it has been made(process takes 2 weeks) to survive at our body's temperature. Have aread and let me know what you thinkWow, this looks interesting! And the two probiotics strains included are the two that are SCD legal!! Would the milk ingredients make it illegal though? I know they're okay in yogurt starter b/c the bacteria eat it, but I'm not sure if the bacteria would've eaten this... Guest guest
I don't know about whether everything is legal, but I was taking that stuff at the recommended 1/2 to 1 per day, sometimes 2 per day after each of the 7 times I was on antibiotics/antifungals last year. I would get all bloated, distended, gassy and constipated (and return of planterfaciitis, etc. too) each time I was on the meds, but then by about a month later I would be starting to come out of it. It was so expensive and I was just frustrated, so on the 8th round of super-antibiotics (can't remember the kind), I didn't take any probiotics at all except some yogurt here and there, and that was the time I was totally stopped up for days on end and then started bleeding afterward. Not sure if it's coincidence or not. I was also under the most stress at that time. But I think the BIO-K was definitely helping. I don't know if I was taking BIO-K plus though. I don't remember the plus, but the bottles looked the same. For some reason I thought that the ones I took had bifidus in them but maybe not. Anyway, that's my story with them! Have a read and let me know what you think I think it's blasted all expensive, is what I think. $2.59 a capsule? I can make a heckuva lot of yogurt for that price! — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
