I was curious to see if you had a lot of amniotic fluid while you

were pregnant? I have a condition called polyhdramios ( I spelled

wrong) thanks for letting me know!

Did they mention if the hand was contracted or not? Multiple

contractures can be part of arthrogryposis. There are many levels of

arthrogryposis- some very scary- so don't go researching the internet

and freaking yourself out unless they mentioned this to you as a

possibility- you don't need that stress and worry needlessly. They

should be able to monitor the baby on the ultrasound though to rule

out this condition. I know a few families through the internet who

have kids with arthrogryposis who have had contractures of the hand in

addition to the clubfoot.

The clubfeet are usually more stiff and tough to correct/maintain

correction when associated with arthrogryposis.

Sanna's son, Veeti, also had to have surgery on his hand. They live

in Finland. I don't know what the exact issues were with his hand,

but it wasn't arthrogryposis though.

Please keep us posted- and hang in there.....I am sure that you're

ready to have your baby and sick and tired of being on bedrest!!!

my doctor never mentioned it-I was big and ended up being a

big baby-8 lbs 14 oz. I have heard of this condition-some moms have

mentioned it with their cf babies!
