popping sound AFTER surgery

Hey all.

I'm freaking out a bit. Surgery is over and I'm still just wearing one rubber

band on each

side. All of my hooks are off and my surgeon said I would be wearing the bands

for about

2 more weeks. My mouth opens all the way and I have no pain... When I take out

teh

rubber bands though, I have a tewrrible popping sound every time I open or close

my

mouth. I didn't notice it before yesterday but it was happening all day and now

this

morning too. I called the dr. yesterday morning and he said it was normal as the

muscles

are healing and I should not freak out but I don't believe him. he set an appt.

for me to

come in next thursday. Has anyone read of others who have had this? is it normal

AT ALL?

If I traded my little overbite and other minor issues for this popping I swear I

will go

INSANE!!
