How do you go about the problem of identifying a reaction to a food at the same time you're weening off your meds? I've been eating all sorts of scd legal foods like muffins, juices, veggies, and meats. I'm getting better because of medicine, so when I start to ween off, how will I know what to stop eating?? I can't eat chicken soup for months while I ween down, plus what if i've been reacting to the carrots?-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 8 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 12 pills a day Prednisone 40mg entocort With vit E mixed inBack to intro/stage 1 for now. If you think you react to something, take it out. Get a bit more stable, and once you are stable at your level of weening (don't do it toofast) after a little while, reintroduce. I can't eat chicken soup for months while I ween down, plus what if i've been reacting to the carrots?Try beef soup. Marilyn reacted to the carrots for months after she started. Eatzucchini or spinach instead. Or kale in the soup - if you don'treact to that. Mara
