Hi ,

Welcome! I have to second what said. I don't keep up with the messages

much anymore, but happened to see yours.

Please check out my daughter's website if you haven't seen it yet:

www.geocities.com/joannewalton2003/clubfootstory.html

I also live in Northern Virginia and when we left our local doctor (also

's first doctor) after 1 week he said that there were no other doctors

in Virginia except Richmond. We did find a doctor in DC, but she wasn't

following the method correctly at the time. She has since attended a Ponseti

training conducted by Dr. Herzenberg, but I don't know if she's following

the protocol exactly.

There is another mom who lives in the Richmond area that I've had contact

with who says there's one doctor who's been trying to do the method, but she

wasn't successful on her son who finally saw Dr. Herzenberg when he was 5

and had to have the Ilizarov frame to correct a relapse.

Please email me privately if you have further questions. Best, Joanne W.

Subject: Pediatric Orthopod In Va. Beach area?????

Greetings! I'm new to this site and very new to learning about clubfeet.

Our

grand daughter has already been diagnosed with bilateral club feet, in

utero,

with an April '06 delivery. I'm doing all I can to begin sifting thru the

research

to hopefully help our son and daughter in law out when this becomes their

reality. I've done a fair amount of research of the Ponsetti method. I'd

like

to

learn more about the French Physiotherapy Method. But my real question is:

does anyone know of a good pediatric orthopeodist in the Virginia Beach,

Virginia area who is knowledgable in these treatments? Any response is

appreciated. Many thanks,
