Guest guest
Hey Jane, I'm doing pretty well. I don't have any restrictions as far as food is concerned - just whatever I can handle. My OS is of the opinion that the more I train my jaw, then better it will get. I think he's got a point there. I'm pretty much eating normally now (except for raw carrots, and stuff like that). It's still a little uncomfortable, particularly on the right side, but overall, not bad at all. I can now open almost 3 fingers. As you practice chewing and opening your mouth, your opening will get better. It's a slow process, but it does work. My numbness is improving, slowly but surely. I can now feel light touch on my chin, whereas I could not before, and gums on the right side are hypersensitive (which would go away eventually). There is still a lot of weird feeling, but I hope it will go away as everything gets back to normal. Hope you're doing well too! Happy chewing!
