Guest guest
We have the disease of Morbid Obesity. Even though we are thin now..and feel we have the world by the tail, YES it is lurking in the wings, waiting to pounce. Eating sugary foods might make you sick now, but just by eating them at all, you are going to feel less and less sick. Then, you can just figure that whatever you eat, you might as well glue it to your body, cuz it's gonna stick there. I've had a 10 lbs bounce-back in my weight...and am doing protein shakes up the ying yang....While I DO look better, it is very frightening...as I like the feeling of being slightly underweight.....makes me feel I have a margin of error there. But I am back to protein feasting....fruit is my downfall. While I could do it at 2 years post, at 3+ years, I cannot. So, I'm going with the cottage cheese that I am craving now...and putting the fruit flavored Davinci syrups over it to give me the feeling of eating fruit. We are all still MO...but in remission. The remission can break at anytime...so don't become complacent...and feel since you can eat sweets and fats now...that you will always be able to. I was where you are over a year ago...and feeling very confident. I'm learning that this takes work...and perseverence! Guess you could call it the three year wall. I'm working on taking off at least 5 pounds of this bounceback weight...since that really looks best on me. (My chest and rear end look 100% better!) Wishing you the best~ Regards~ Jacque > I've been reading where people have regained all their weight back > after RNY. That just blows my mind! And the only way, the only way, I repeat, the only way to deal with it is to not turn it on EVER. Unfortunately for eating there is no completely off, so we have to deal with not eating whatever particular kind of food flicks that switch on. Then there are the times that you dump and it is on something you have eaten a million times, or you DON'T dump on something that you ALWAYS dump on. Who knows? I think only the Dump GOD knows. That just blows my mind! I know that even though I'm two years out, when I try to eat foods that are high in sugar or fat, I feel AWFUL! I hate that feeling! I don't throw up or anything and never have. But I feel shaky and my heart races and weak and sometimes nauseous. It's enough of a bad feeling that I stay away from those foods when I can. I tried cheating a lot after the holidays last year and gained back 10 pounds. But while I was doing it, I felt so bad, I HAD to go back and eat right again and lost that weight plus 5 more (with Weight Watchers!). I just don't see how we can gain ALL our weight back if we feel badly when we eat these foods. Do you think those people who gain their weight back just don't have those bad feelings anymore or dump at all, and that's how they are able to do it? It's the only way I can see it happening!
