Thanks! I hope you come home in as good of spirits as me too -- I

think you will when you catch a glimpse at your new bite. I

just had my lower jaw set back. They thought they might have to do

a genioplasty, but ended up not needing to. My swelling is

definitely more today, but I'm still not in a tremendous amount of

pain or anything so I can deal with it. Still trying to figure out

what I want to eat, but I don't really have much of an appetite.

Tarryn,

You'll do fine on your surgery... It's not going to be the most

comfortable, wonderful few days, but just know that it will pass

soon. My swelling has increased some, but I'm still not in a

tremendous amount of pain, so I'll make it. I think another

thing that got me in this positive state of mind is that my hospital

bed was in the Children's Hospital on the oncology floor -- and it

made me realize just how easy I have it.

Thanks for your thoughts! I had the hooks put in yesterday, and

today I'm just taking it easy. I watched a movie this morning, and

this afternoon I'll be cleaning my room. Yes. And for the Last

Supper tonight I'll be having steak and mushroom sauce. Yum!

I know I'll be fine...but sometimes the thought of it just

overwhelms me. I've been waiting for this since last Decmber, and

now it's here. But I actually think my mom is more nervous than I

am!

I appreciate that. I'm not a very happy camper today - but I'm

hanging in there. This is my first post, post surgery. I'm going to

wander the messages and get my mind off things. And then go rest. I

seem to need a lot of that. My face doesn't really look like me and

my bite is strange and I'm seriously swollen, but not much black and

blue. <shrug>
