Guest guest
That is wonderful!!! Aidan will be 16 months on Dec 5 and is still not walking. He's been cruising FOREVER. He has a little push bike he walks behind all the time and will hold my fingers and walk all over but he just hasn't let go yet. If I'm holding him and set him down on his feet he just goes to a sit down position. It's very controlled though and he isn't just falling over. He was about 12 weeks premature so I'm giving him some extra time before I start to worry. Anyway, congratulations, I can imagine how excited you must be.. Oh, Aidan is currently fighting an ear infection. We were up quite a bit last night with 102.4 temp. It's only his 3rd one though and he's getting in all of his molars at the same time. Sorry, not much help. Of the subject, since and Aidan are about the same age. How big are 's feet (size)??? Aidan's are both 3 1/2, which I believe at this age are a little small, but I was just curious. Tabitha Yarolim wrote: Well I don't know if I can officially say this, but Karter, 16 months on Wen., is walking. I have been waiting to post this since Saturday. He started taking 5-8 steps on Saturday. On Monday he was going 5-7 feet by himself. I really wanted to see him walk by Christmas. He gets so excited and goes to fast then he will fall. And he has not got the concept of stopping and going again. I am just overwhelmed with joy. question totally off the subject. Does anyone have any knowledge with ear infection? Karter has repeated ear infection. The Dr.'s as of yesterday have put him on a very strong antibiotic for 14 days, then after that will be on a " maintance " dose for 4 weeks. This is 6 weeks on antibiotic. He just got off his last antibiotic on Friday morning and was screaming by Sat. afternoon. (after the dr's office closed of course) Since June 2nd he has pretty much been on medication for his ears. And no we do not smoke and he doesn't get to take milk to bed. The dr's have been talking tubes, but always wants to try something else first. As I am so happy about him walking I am just as frustrated about his ears. Hope everyone has a wonderful week Tabitha Brittanie 2-9-00 WALKING Karter bcf DBB 16-18hrs/day
Guest guest
Way to go Karter!!!! He's really gonna keep you busy now Tabitha!! Collin has had ear problems since we were in Iowa in September. In Iowa they put him on an antibiotic (for a cough) before his surgery and actually pushed it back a day. We noticed he was hearing us right though while in Iowa, then we came home and his ped put him on an antibiotic for his ears. Then we went for his 4 year old checkup 2 weeks ago and he failed the hearing test twice, passed the vision 100% though. So they put him on nasonnex spray until January 10th when he goes back again to retest. I'm still confused why he is on nose spray for his ears, but his ped is usually really good. I learned though there is no way he is gonna let me spray it up each nostril 1x day, so I am letting him do it himself I just stand by to make sure he does. They say its fluid in his ear. I'm hoping they he will not need the tubes. Michele Collin's story at http://www.geocities.com/chele323232
Guest guest
I was taking three different allergy medications and had allergy shots for a while - Claritin, Nasocort, and Guaifenisin (or whatever it is!). I take nasonex and claritin now - plus the shots. The antihistimines alone never did it for me. I doubt it is an allergy though, so once they get it cleared up, he should be fine. A few years ago, I had a really bad sinus infection that just wouldn't go away. I ended up on antibiotics on and off for nearly a year until finally I got a doctor with a brain who put me on them for a month solid and suggested that I ask about a nasal spray for my allergies. I haven't had one since so I'm a believer! (by the way, when I was pregnant, I couldn't take the nasal spray and I used the saline solutions instead. They work well too if you don't like using the drugs.) > > > > Way to go Karter!!!! He's really gonna keep you busy now > Tabitha!! > > Collin has had ear problems since we were in Iowa in September.
