She wants to get at EMG on that leg to be sure that the pain isn't caused by something else. I've had EMG's on both arms/hands & feet & they didn't bother me at all; one of the advantages of the numbing effect of neuropathy I guess. Most people have told me they were really painful. If she feels that the pain is coming from the lumbar disc(s), the microsurgery is a promising treatment for the leg pain. I get the EMG next Monday & see the doc a week later.
