Someone should have smacked me upside the head to get me to do the

right thing. The problem I had was because of insurance I did not

have many choices and welker told me that day he was leaving. That

left me with Deveney. I liked him but now feel like he isn't really

into his patients.

Live and learn I guess. Seems like I choose the hard way.

Hmmm...what if you had some sort of complication and Dr. E needed a

specialist in that field to step in immediately?

Just wondering..

Judie or Sherry,

How do you get a surgical report from OHSU? Think it would be a good

idea to have one.

Sherry,

Im not sure but Im thinking that since I was a medicare patient, by medicare

rules Welker had to sign this paper certifying that he was present for the

entire surgical procedure(but not that he did it) and list the common

channel as well as the alimentary total limb......maybe that is why yours

was missing some important stuff?

Mine says my common channel was created at 80 cm, alimentary total limb was

240cm and common bowel length was approximatley 560 cm....

Other reports say the alimentary limb was 250 so I dont know which one it

really is.

We all know that since the surgeries are done at a university hospital it

most likely will include those who are learing the surgery curve are

probably going to be doing some of the surgeries instead of our own

surgeon......I just never thought about that before now.......
