Guest guest
Look at the Zip N Squeeze site referenced above. Beaudette is a registered nurse who invented the zippie bags, and wrote the book of advice/recipes, etc. She's worked with jaw surgery patients for a long time, and really produces these things more out of concern for helping the patients than as a money making project, I believe. (Nope. I'm not her partner, don't get a kick back, have no vested interest in zippies. I just believe that they're good products if you're gonna be wired shut, particularly.) Actually, I didn't need the zippies, as I was neither wired nor banded, but there's a lot of useful info in the book. And the jaw wraps were wonderful! No drip. No having to hold them in place. Soft, stayed put, and could be used for hot or cold. (I was told ice for the first 48 hours, then heat.) can't help about Perth; sorry. I do know that folks on these sites have had plastic surgeons as well as oral and maxillofacial surgeons. I think it's a matter of your own confidence level with the surgeon, and how well you get on with him or her. Best, Cammie P.S. Suspicions confirmed about the Silva book... > > Hi all, > I'm new to this site and I'm scheduled to have my braces on in 2 > weeks then lower jaw advancement in 10 months.
