Guest guest
Wow. You have yourself a partner on this board. There is another mom on here that you will have a lot in common with. I'll let her introduce herself. > > We have three boys (Todd 4 1/2, 2 1/2, Grant 10 months) all > born with clubfoot. We are being treated in St. Louis by Dr. > Dobbs. Guest guest
You may know this, but Dobbs trained under Ponseti. We just transferred to Dobbs last summer when another peds. ortho. wanted to do a PLMR (the surgery that my husband had 27 years ago) on my 2yr old. We absolutely love him. He is such a supper nice guy. We see him at the Shrine. How close do you live to St. Louis? All three have or had clubfoot right? Is there anyone else in your family that had clubfoot? I have never heard of another family having 3 affected children. WOW! Katrina > > Hello! So glad to have you here. I have 2, ....and another on the way, ages 7 yr, 2 yr, and obviously not born yet. Guest guest
Katrina, That is exciting that they are making good progress with the genetic study. I've been helping Dr. Dobbs with recruiting patients for the study through this group and the other yahoo clubfoot groups. I don't get to hear much about the actual research yet, Dr. Dobbs is so busy so I just send him the names of people who are interested in participating in the study and they take it from there. I also work at the Med School, I'm in Anesthesiology Research (Financial & Grant Administration), but it is great to be so close to the doctor and especially the orthotics office. Hope to talk to you you more soon. > > > > > > Hello! So glad to have you here. I have 2, ....and another on > > the way, ages 7 yr, 2 yr, and obviously not born yet.
