Had Maddie in the ER at Children's Hospital today. Her fever still

hasn't subsided all the way. Granted, it's a low grade fever, but I

was still concerned. After calling her orthopedist, they told me to

call the pediatrician, and after I called the pediatrician, they told

me to call the orthopedist. Finally the ped told us to go to the ER

and get it checked. The infection looks better, but the ER docs

thought her Keflex dosage was too low to totally kill the infection.

So, they upped her Keflex to four times a day and added Bactroban

ointment to apply directly to the sore. She goes back to the ortho

tomorrow to get impressions done for the s. i feel bad for

the kid. They wanted to rule out a UTI, so they had to catheterize

her. She's had a rough go of it, but hopefully the s will

help. Thanks for listening.
