Anyone not band?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here but was wondering if anyone chose not to band their baby. And if

so, what were the results?

A little background on us- my daughter Lilly is now 10 months. She had tort

which we noticed when she was about 2 weeks old. She started PT at 3 months and

her tort is resolved now. However, she developed a pretty severe case of plagio

and peaked at it's severity around 6 months. It was at that time she began

sleeping on her belly and was never on her flat spot again. Our ped from day 1

has been against helmet therapy. But we went against her and took Lilly to be

evaluated by both Cranial Technologies and Hanger. CT never told us what her

measurements were but just told us she was a candidate. We then took her to

Hanger where they measured her asymmetry at 10 mm. At that point she was 8

months and her head had gotten better- I've been taking photos every two weeks

and had noticed a difference. It makes me believe that at its worst it was

pretty severe! We decided to atleast try the band so we got her fitted with

Hanger. We took her back 2 weeks later and her asymmetry was down to 8 mm. Her

forehead bulge which was quite prominent at one point is gone and her facial

asymmetry is non-existent anymore. So now we're looking at just fixing a flat

spot.

Anyway, we got the band but have decided against using it. And we feel good

about that decision. But I was just wondering if anyone else decided against it

and what their results were. How do you feel about your decision now?

Thanks!

Miley
