Guest guest
Hello. I know that milk with lactose is illegal, but I'm trying to get a better idea of the effects of foods. When I used to eat regular (non-SCD) ice cream, all day the next day, I'd have diarrhea along with fever, achiness, headache, flu-like symptoms. I'd probably start having the symptoms the day before, but I definitely would feel it the next day. If I had milk, cheese or yogurt, I wouldn't have this problem that I can remember. Based on what I see on symptom checkers on the internet, symptoms of lactose intolerance don't include fever or achiness. Maybe it's a problem with casein, but why was it limited to ice cream? The brands that bothered me were Bryers and Braun's. Publix store brand and Bruster's did not bother me. Does anyone else have a fever due to lactose intolerance? Are these sites I'm viewing just misinformed? Could it have been some other ingredient? Thanks!
