Guest guest
Kathy, I have four words for you that I think sum up what the rest of us are thinking having read your post: BEEN THERE, DONE THAT. Yes, yes YES the feelings you are having are completely NORMAL. We all worried about the pain, and most importantly, WILL THIS SURGERY WORK? Well, I am here to tell you (probably along with hundreds of others on this list!!) that this surgery DOES work, and it WILL work for you, too!!! Believe me when I tell you that you WILL NOT be able to eat even remotely like you did BEFORE surgery, at least not for a long, long time. Regarding the pain, you will be given plenty of meds to help control your pain, so please don't lose sleep worrying about that. Personally, I had a c-section with my first daughter, and I thought that that pain was WAY worse than this was, although that is just MY PERSONAL experience. I know that this is easy for me to say, but try to think about all the AWESOME things that are coming your way AFTER you have this surgery!! This is your new lease on life!!! You CAN do this, and we will all be right here routing you on!!! Hugs, Pam in MD BPD/DS - July 9, 2001 Dr. Vanguri
