Guest guest
I was wondering if this was just me! I seem to do okay with food. I don't think I'm going to have any problem with moving on to more solid food. Yet when it comes to drinking water, etc. sometimes I do have problem swallowing a sip and I feel slight nausea. Weird. -- Re: New Here, First Post -Margaret, They did think that I had a stricture, that's when they found the hernia. I don't throw up much anymore. Just water once in a while if I swallow it too fast or too much of it at once. I have to take little baby sips which isn't easy if your dying of thirst, which I am most of the time. Do you have that proble? That's the only thing that bothers me about this surgery. I was always a big drinker before...no not alcohol... mostly soda actually, but now I can hardly ever quench my thirst, no matter what I drink. It's so annoying. Yes I do go to a support group in my area, well actually I haven't been to it in about two or three months because I have been recuperating from alot of surgeries and medical crap. And yes I do have a follow up program with my gastric bypass surgeon, as a matter of fact I see him tomorrow. He's gonna be glad to see me. I have lost 37 pounds since I last saw him two months ago. I can't wait to show him my progress. Take care. Isn't it great to go in your closet and have so many new choices.LOL When I first had my RNY Lap in June 24, 2003 and started to loose weight I was so happy my old clothes didn't fit anymore and I didn't have any smaller clothes so I became a frequent shopper at Susie;s deals everything is $5.00. When they seen me come in they justed smiled.LOL Now i can shop off the rack at any store. I still sometimes go to the plus size first. Then realise everything is to BIG!!!!! I'm sorry you are sufferingfrom nausea, that is a terrible feeling. Have they checked to see if you might have a stricture? My doctor says if you can't drink water without it coming up you might have a narrowing. I'm no doctor but just a suggestion. Do you have a support group that you attend? Do you have a follow up program with your doctor? Have a good day. God bless you. Would love to communiate with you. I live in Las Vegas.
