Guest guest
From what I understand, this is not true. I do know several people have have contacted burn centers and they were told that skin from an abdominoplasty/tummy tuck was too fatty to use and they used cadaver skin and also had success with using new/grown skin (which is expensive though). So far in researching over a year, I have not found anyone that actually was able to donate skin and/or get their TT/abdominplasty paid for because they donated the skin. If you have specific burn centers or hospitals that you know definitely do accept it, I'm sure many people would be willing to donate even if they didn't get paid. Fantastic Sams is in the program but I'm sure others hairdressers are in the program too. You have to donate at least 10 inches of hair. The hair is used to make wigs for children who have had chemotherapy and have lost all their hair. > > Just thought I would throw that in there from a friend who suggested it...... =) > > Judie > > > >
