I don't know of any better way then what you are doing, I fought our Insurance company for a year, and it wasn't until it went to the independent appeal, meaning a doctor outside of the insurance company looked over my request, he immediately over turned the insurance company, but we had to jump through each and every hoop.

My doctors wrote of my worsening condition, we went to the insurance appeal process, which was a joke. stay on them don't stop until you get it covered. We were told by someone who works in the insurance business, that if you keep on them, and keep going to the next level that you will eventually get it approved. It seemed forever, but I am now on Remicade every 5 weeks and the difference is incredible. So all I can really say it stay on them.

do not stop until it is approved, My doctors just did what I told them to, and it sounds like your doctors are too. More letters won't help, but DO NOT give up. If you have any other questions let me know. Marla

Please everyone this is a PLEA for your help. My doctors are at their

wits end and have been trying to get me approved for Remicade through

my insurance, they have written letters and are now in the appeal

process for being denied. I told them of the wonder group we all

belong to and it was suggested that I appeal to you all who take

Remicade and ask that you provide me with your Doctor's names and

telephone numbers so my doctors may contact them to discuss how they

were able to get Remicade approved for use to treat our NS. Please,

please if you can help me please respond. My condition is worsening,

my lung functions are at a new low (64% of my predicted levels) they

are lower than just 6 months ago. Now that the lung function is so low

they are concerned about my heart, that there may be lower blood

pressure in my heart and heart enlargement - I have a scan scheduled

for my heart this week to check its exact status. Thank you for

helping, weakening in Utah.
