Guest guest
Walking even leaning forward will not put your incision at risk. You will be sewn up, probably stapled also, and walking won't cause it all to come undone. I understand that you might imagine it as an open wound or a weak place that will be at risk for letting out the inside stuff. You may have a binder on, certainly would have bandages if you have an open DS. This surgery is being done on morbidly people. Most of us have our bellies hanging out. And I hunched over when I started walking after surgery-- even though I don't usually do that. Just think of how much better you'll be walking in a few months after surgery! in Seattle --- In duodenalswitch@y..., " Phoenix Rising " <pennykit@h...> > After an operation, that has just opened you up, would not the extra stress added to the stitched or stapled area be at risk. Please bear in mind I have never had an operation before.
