Hi Bee

I was talking to My PCP the other day about my last fast blood draw and mine was a little high also and he said it was because I had developed insulin resistance. He said that the diabetes can return even though you lose the weight. I am again border line. It does run in my family so I would not be too surprised if I ended up eventually on meds again. It does happen I guess. Mine was after a 12 hour fast 119. Normally after 8 hours in the morning it is between 100 and 90 but the longer I go without eating it starts to

climb instead of drop which is why I asked the doctor what was going on.

I am not taking it post op, per doctors orders. And he said that we would check my levels but that I probably would not need tot take it again. I understand the diarrhea patrt of it that you mean. It take a while for your body to get used to it. MaridianaBEEisMe wrote: hi not sure...did you take it post or not? and they plan for you to continue taking it post? I was on Met ( for PCOS) before, and I waited a week or so after to resume it. I found that after a while, your body will shift and will tell you if you need it or not. Everyone is different after their surgery, but I took it crushed up with a big swallow of milk and I was fine.BEEisMe wrote: hi not sure...did you take it post or not? and they plan for you to continue taking it post? The 10% is included in that 100 lbs, I think so you would still qualify. I am now waiting for the reports from those two appts to get to my doc and then for him to send them to Kaiser. Then , from all I gather, it's hurry up and wait, for approval and acceptance

into a program probably in Fremont. The next step will be orientation and beginning the 10 % loss journey. The psych and the overview are very easy, nothing to sweat there. Are you attending support group anywhere? There is one at Mc Henry Villiage on the first Monday of the month. It is very informational. There are people there at every level in this process. There is one in Turlock and one in Oakdale also, not sure of the times and locations but I will find out and let you know.
