I'm nursing her until after her surgery on March 7th, it's a big one and it will be a real comfort for her. > > Just in time for a new round of colds and virus to get here. His foot is fitting much better in the shoes now and so sounds like you have found the perfect spot for him to be in them, that's great! It will be soooo much easier for you now =) Soon you won't even have to think about it anymore - so happy for you guys! Also, the heel will really start to drop when he starts walking and bearing weight on his feet a lot, that is also really exciting to see! > > His red spots that were on his heels have almost disappeared now. Can't say enough good things about this product. It comes in a purple tube and you will find it with the baby ointments or by the nursing stuff in almost any drugstore. > & Grace >
Guest guest
, Are you using a different weight of socks? If not, I would probably chalk it up to his feet getting a little bit more formed. Just check his feet for any blisters or sore spots when you take them off today, to be sure it is not just a mistake in the way his feet went into the shoes today. I would not worry about it much, Sammy has days where I buckle in the 4th hole and days I buckle in the 5th hole, it varies. For dry skin I always like Eucerin. And Yeah for him standing up! Just wait till he starts walking! It seems that these milestones mean even more to us now. allison > > Well, we are slowly getting back into routine here. Guest guest
Not to worry. While in the casts there was compression to keep the swelling down. Now out of the cast the ankle is still healing and little ones are not keeping legs elevated so the swelling is where gravity takes it. It really takes a body 6 weeks for initial healing for any insult. If he is not too irritable I would not be concerned. Try elevation and Ibuprophen. Many of the " habits " need to be broken by the parents. We are programed to be the little ones buffer to life and soon learn we may be the culprit. I only say this as an experienced MOM and BAMA and assisting parents along the way. " This too shall pass!
