Guest guest
I noticed someone mention how after DS we aren't supposed to take aspirin. Just wondering, what are we allow to take? Suppose I have a headache or something...advil? Tylenol? What about (for women) if we have cramps...will pain killers I used to take for pain absorb? ********************************************************************** Dear , My surgeon didn't want me to take any products containing aspirin immediately after surgery (you shouldn't take aspirin after ANY surgery), but now I can. If I have a headache my drug of choice is usually Advil/Motrin. I was told that I had no restrictions whatsoever on the types of medications I take. She did tell me that I shouldn't rely on the effectivness of the birth control pill. I also asked the cancer/chemo question. Chemo is usually administered by IV. Therefore, in case you needed to have Chemo/Radiation treaments, the malabsorption will not affect your outcome. By the way, the intestional portion can always be reversed if you needed it to be for some reason. Jane J. 230/170 (-60 lbs.)
