Guest guest
if anyone has any info against drinking milk each day I'd like to be directed to those articles. the dietician at the hosp. where I am working is pretty insistent that post ops should be drinking multiple glasses of milk each day. I don't agree but I think I'm going to need something more than my opinion to sway her. she just did a big article in the hosp. magazine about drinking your milk to keep osteo at bay. sue
Guest guest
Sue, I don't know about any studies, but I DO know that pre WLS, I was not lactose intolerant, and since WLS, I am. Milk, ice cream, any uncultured milk products make me violently ill. I can eat cheese and yogurt just fine. Guest guest
I totally agree here. There are so many other ways to get calcium without drinking milk including supplements. Why on earth must we drink milk. Now, I don't mind drinking milk every so often but I don't want it every day. Lori Owen - Denton, Texas SRVG 7/16/01 Dr. Ritter/Dr. Bryce 479/335/??? Guest guest
Sue, I too, was told by my dietician to drink two glasses of non-fat milk each day. Unfortunately, (because I love it!) I can no longer tolerate it very well, and it sends me straight to the bathroom!
