Guest guest
me too... a lot of the food network. My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts and does not understand why I watch when I don't even cook. The food just looks so good. i have also noticed that I have become SOOO sensitive to food smells, even bad ones. I live in NYC and when I got out of the subway on friday, it smelled like that nasty fish smell you sometimes encounter in NY. I thought to myself... " Mmmm... fishsticks " and then I thought " Tova, you're disgusting--- it smells so nasty! " and then I thought " Screw that- I'm really hungry! " and then I thought " Please- I'm even melodramatic in my own mind... fishsticks don't even smell good- I don't even really like them! " and yet... I have also come to enjoy watching other people eat. And those nasty sounds people sometimes make when they chew... yeah... suddenly, not so nasty. I know it's melodramatic but I had farina for dinner for the 8th night in a row. It's Farina Hanukkah. Wednesday the rubber bands come off. I made them give me the first appointment in the morning but then while planning my first meal, i realized the kosher deli would not yet be open so I could not buy my extra fatty pastrami sandwich on the way home from the subway (I've been passing that deli after every appointment from my surgeons office since my surgery) so now I am in a quandry... Do I " break my fast " on whatever is available, even though it won't be as good as fatty pastrami with extra russian dressing, or, do I hold off a few hours and wait till lunch and then get the pastrami sandwich? But then it will be delivered and not as fresh as if I had picked it up on the way from the subway... Decisions, decisions.... I even considered postponing my appointment a few hours so the timing is perfect... but that's a little dramatic, even for me. Man, I'm hungry. Guest guest
I had the best time feeding my baby supper tonight. She was enjoying a baked potatoe with melted cheese and sliced ham on it with green peas. She was enjoying it so much (we're just getting her to eat people food heartily) that I enjoyed it too! It wasn't torture at all. Jane > > > > > > > > Your doc is absolutely right, Jane...
