Guest guest
I also have very thin hair. I have been using Nioxin shampoo and cond. since one month pre-op and haven't experienced anything out of the normal. It's pricey but I think it's worth it. In the area where I live there is only one salon that offers this shampoo. Vickie 5'01 " pre-op BMI 42 wt. 224 currently 204/goal 130 ish 6-7-04 open RNY Dr. Daryl in Denton, Texas HELP!! My Hair! A few days ago I noticed a larger than normal amount of hair come out when shampooing. Then each day since, it seems like I've been shedding. I've been picking loose hairs off my clothes, my face, etc. Now today in the shower, there was a FISTFUL of hair that came out when I shampooed!! I remember at my first GBS support group meeting, a woman said it was at 3 months that her hair started to fall out. She even went so far as to have some bald spots from it! I am exactly 3 months post-op today. I have pretty thin hair to start with. I can't afford to lose a lot of hair. Can anyone offer any advice to stop this hair loss, or to slow it down, at least? Has anyone ever tried using Minoxidyl during this phase? I couldn't find that Bioxin anywhere around her, so I ordered it online. It should arrive by tomorrow. Think it will help at all? Guest guest
I was told the cause for losing hair was lack of enough protein. p At 06:21 PM 7/7/04, you wrote: >A few days ago I noticed a larger than normal amount of hair come out >when shampooing. Guest guest
--- If you are unable to find Nioxin try Progaine shampoo andconditioner. Walmart sells it. I have found it as effective asNioxin, which I have also used, and much less expensive. I waswarned of the malabsorption of vitamin A and biotin which could causehair loss and started using these products asap. I have had no hairloss problems.
