Guest guest
>> But, I'm afraid you are going to feel so much better that you may > overdo it....so for those of us that worry about you....try and give yourself a > little break! I KNOW you know how to day NO! Regina, I'm gonna tell you a story to scare you into taking it easy! My step-mom had a hysterectomy 20 years ago. Her doctor told her NO lifting, NO driving, NO going back to work until he cleared her (she was a waitress in an Elks club), and several other NO's including no going up and down stairs for 2 weeks. Of course, she felt great, she was fine, she needed to do this for this person and that for that person, and she drove too soon, lifted too soon, and went back to work too soon. She pulled some of the muscle structure and it cannot be repaired, so for 20 years she's gone around looking like she's 6 months pregnant, and she never really has a day free of pain. So this is my way of saying STAY OFF YOUR FEET until the doctor says otherwise! NO lifting! NO driving! NO going back to school or whatever until he says it's ok! REALLY! We love you, and don't want to see you get in any deeper illness than you're already going through. You can't boogie with us till the cows come home if you break your boogie mechanism, ya know? PLEASE take care of yourself! Honest, the world will not stop turning if you say no to someone's special need once in a while. With great big take-care-of-you hugs... ~~ Lyn G
Guest guest
You mean I have to come OUT of the closet Jacque & Debbie: I've tried the closet, the garage, attic, car trunk, they always manage to find me. Any suggestions except for the washer (the spin cycle is a killer) would be appreciated. Sincerely doubt that a Type A personality can change into a Type B. Possibly a lobotomy. Will ask my psychology professor tomorrow though. Based on my answers to some of his questions, this is a man who wants me on his couch anyway. If its fluffy and comfy, at this point I may consider it. Regina
Guest guest
Hummmmm.....I think you should try a tree house. LOL Ok so I have an over active imagination, but think of it. NO ONE would think to look for you there. As for your Pysch prof....if it is a comfy couch....what can it hurt? LOL Just don't snore. Guest guest
Lyn: I printed your message and handed it to Tim. He's a great guy, but when it comes to helping out around the house, well, that is another issue. Looks like I'll be hiring a cleaning person again and sending the laundry out to the wash, dry, fold. Whatever gets us there. I'll be too tired to argue with him. Doc already told me about not lifting anything heavy, up and down stairs stuff, but he said for six months. My eyes crossed on that one. Said I would be able to go back to school in September, but no heavy lifting of books. I just may buy two sets and leave one at school with the teacher and one at home if they're heavy. Sorry about your mother. Definitely don't want that happening to me. Thanks for the eye opener. Regina
