Guest guest
Hi, everyone, I am thinking about ordering almonds online. Does anyone know which vendors carry good quality organic almonds? Also, does anybody know how to blanch almonds at home? Any input is appreciated. Guest guest
Blanching almonds is easy. Just pour boiling water over them, let them sit for about a minute, put in a collander or strainer and rinse under cold water. Drain and rinse cold again. Pat dry. Then you just sit at the table and grab an almond and the skin slips right off. This can be a job you can often get kids to do, the skin-slipping part, not the boiling water part.
