They have a RNY'er who has reached a 3 month plateau. It is funny how

they respond different than this forum......the advice ranges from

herbal teas, perscription laxatives to you mane it. You have no idea

how much I want to tell them go have a krispy kreme. The more I read

the more enjoyment I get out of my own DS. These folks would die if I

disclosed my intake on a daily basis. Great to be a DS'r. Its all

good.

I think I would be devastated if this regain happened to me with the

RNY.....especially since the surgeon would have already butchered my

stomach! I do think though, that since Dr Welker does both and he does the

RNY in such a way that these problems dont seem to crop up, it might not

happen with the way he does it. Nevertheless, the DS is by far superior, in

my opinion!

The RNYer's in my support group have problems, too. One lady has to have a

revision, not because Dr. did a poor job but because she eats too

much and she stretched her stoma. You can't do that with the DS. I have a

friend who had the RNY and who is the one that got me to consider WLS. Since

I had the DS she is always defending hers and claims to be very happy with

it. But I know better. Her daughter is my daughters best friend and I hear

the truth through her! LOL!

PS. Be careful with my name now. I'm Micky and there's another girl Mickey.

She may think you were talking to her and not know what you were talking

about. :)
