Guest guest
Long Silvers doesn't use seperate fryers. And when you look at all the breading on that fish and chicken you can see why he reacted. Wendi Progress/ Long Silvers French Fries > My son (8yo, AS) has been GFCF for 4 weeks as of Tuesday!! We've been doing pretty well all along except for the prescription meds that he's been on. As of last Thursday I think we even had those taken care of. During the past 4 weeks he has not had one single meltdown/temper tantrum! I didn't want to contribute it to the diet so soon, but on Sunday we had a REAL test. We went to the store and each boy had their dollar to buy something. My NT son picked out his thing, and of course Austin took a while to pick his out. When we got to the checkout my NT son had his dollar, but guess who had lost his. That's right, Austin. OK, I probably don't have to tell most of you about the scene that normally would have taken place. BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!!!!! Yes, he whined about it and we had to go back through the store looking but that was it!!! No meltdown, no tantrum!!! I have hope that he even learned a lesson: keep your money in your pocket. > > Anyway, so here's my question. On Tuesday we went over to my grandmother's. She's 99 and a real pain in the you-know-what. She lives with another elderly woman and they ordered Long Silvers for themselves and for me. My grandmother was refusing to eat hers because the kids didn't get any!!! I kept telling her he's allergic but she kept saying " oh, he's been eating it all his life and now all of a sudden he's allergic, what will they think of next " . I finally broke down and gave him some french fries just so there would be peace. Well, later that evening...you guessed it...temper tantrum/meltdown!!! And this was a " get down on the floor, kick, scream, cry, all out meltdown " ...over something pretty minor. OK, so I'm finally to my question. What is in those Long Silvers french fries? Thanks, > > > > >
