April,

I am the least informed person on this subject, but I have come to

the conclusion that my child has a yeast problem only bc she has had

chronic red, itching in the labia, perineum, outer rectal area since

March. That's the only hint I have, I don't even know 100% that is

the cause, but she's had some standard tests done by her ped. and

nothing shows up. The book The Yeast Connection is supposed to be

good. I am just starting to look into this. I also know you should

limit sugars and when she's had a lot of sugar, her " rash "

intensifies.

While it does seem very common for ASD kids to have bowel troubles, this isn't

the case for all ASD kids. My son has never had any bowel troubles (except when

sick which is rare) even though he is GFCF and takes several supplements.
