Guest guest
Thanks Amelia I'll think of something for sure. SCD helped me not only to even consider to go but made me more resourceful. It's a diet that builds character. > > > > Yana, > > > > How exciting for you! You know I have lived in the US, the Netherlands, England, and Scotland, travelled to Oman, India, and Europe, but NEVER have I visited New York. I wish to go one day and look up my grandmother' s name in the Ellis Island records! > > > > > > My one note is check the power requirements for your immersion blender. The US uses 110-120 volts at 60 Herz. Most of the rest of the world (with a few exceptions) use 220-240 Volts at 50 or 60 Herz. So look at the plug or on the handle for something that reads 110-240 V 50/60 Hz. If it doesn't say that, it most likely won't work (unless you know your home country is the exact same power as in the US) and little travel voltage converters will not work (they are only meant to work for about 8 minutes and they don't convert the Herz). The good news is that your camera charger and laptop charger most likely will work just fine with a plug adapter --usually available at the airport. > > > > Congrats on your two year anniversary! And last but not least, not at all, we'll stay in New York for 24 hours and of course we want to make the best of it. I know it sounds naive, but it is one of the two USA cities I always wanted to visit and now it's happening. (BTW the other one is New Orleans, I'm so envious Marilyn) > > > > So any advices for New York?
